Absurde, künstlerische Fußballkonzepte gibt’s ja viele. Mein Favorit war bisher die “Luther Blissett Three-sided Football League” (mehr auch hier) – ein Konzept von Asger Jorn, der damit die Marxistische Dialektik zur Trialektik machen wollte. Gespielt wird mit drei Mannschaften auf drei Tore – und der Gewinner ist die Mannschaft, die am wenigsten Tore kassiert. Ein Konzept, dass ganz neue Formen von Kooperation erfordert. Wirklich ausprobiert hat es auch die Gruppe Pied La Biche (hier gibt’s das Tutorial-Video!).
Ein weiteres außergewöhnliches Konzept hat jetzt der spanische Künstler Maider López entwickelt. Sein “Polder Cup” wird am 4. September im niederländischen Dorf Ottoland stattfinden – und mitten in den Spielfeldern gibt es Wassergräben. “Maider López’s projects focus on the intriguingly humorous or the extraordinary behind the obvious and ordinary. López creates various events and situations for individuals to gather through a common language, in this case football. Polder Cup becomes a moment where diverse groups of society are brought together through play, sports and social exchange. Unlike a typical football game, López’s displaced football field intersected by water channels, challenges the rules of football and encourages players to seek and invent new strategies. Not only does the location create an unusual situation, it reflects on the long Dutch history of fighting against water and the consensus society.”
