Jim above, has it pretty much on the mark when it comes to "Provenance".
I thinks that's very humurous about James DeWeaver being paid by people who were interseted in a "Real" Banksy!
No doubt it's worth it for them to keep it safe,as The person who wrote in the Banksy Wikipedia entry that the stencil was no longer there, well it was there, the person didn't know EXACTLY where it had been stencilled, as they weren't there at the time!, all reports suggest the only two people there were DeWeaver and Banksy!
DeWeaver liked being back there(Byron Bay),he's been seen "hang'in out" with Russell Brand at a particular club when he was in Australia last,Byron Bay in particular according to the local rag!Good for him!

Making sure that a genuine article of work is done by the real artist is fundamental in proving its provenance.
I read about how the Owners of the Arts Factory Lodge in Byron Bay,Australia paid the Australian pastellist/visual Artist James DeWeaver to come and show them where exactly the stencil of the parachuting rat with the clothes pin on its nose, that Banksy had done back in 2001.
Thing overgrow walls etc.,so once deWeaver had shown them the location ,they took the wall down and put it very carefully inside their house! How nice,Prior to that they had no idea and were clueless to this.
As DeWeaver had invite Spencer Tunick Downunder so too Banksy,But no one really knew were exactly it had been stencilled and it was there for over six and a half years, then the owners found out!The Tunick Photo's on DeWeaver's site, pretty cool!
