Großartige interaktive Installation – Finken auf einer E-Gitarre: “From here to ear” von Céleste Boursier-Mougenot. “Trained as a musician and composer, French artist Céleste Boursier-Mougenot creates works by drawing on the rhythms of daily life to produce sound in unexpected ways. His installation for The Curve will take the form of a walk-though aviary for a flock of zebra finches, furnished with electric guitars and other instruments and objects. As the birds go about their routine activities, perching on or feeding from the various pieces of equipment, they create a captivating, live soundscape.” Ausstellung: 27. Februar 2010 bis 23. Mai 2010, Barbican, London. Via

Really beatiful, thanks for cheering me up! It seems like the birds are even trying to make a little nest between the strings of the guitar
@ A: They are not doing a nest – they are just playing “Rock’n Roll”. Btw: One bird looks like Ron Wood, don’t you think?
Wow, really cool, it´s dronemusic!
Erinnert mich an Sludge und Drone, aber noch mehr an Neil Youngs Soundtrack zu Dead Man.
Die Installation an sich find ich großartig in ihrer Einfachheit. Und natürlich auch klasse präsentiert
@Matthias
Yeah, dachte auch beim gucken “sunn O))), die Milli Vanilli des Drone?!”
