Im Sommer ist der Gerichtstermin, ihm werden Betrug und Fälschung vorgeworfen: “We just got the final charges via mail a few weeks ago. I and two other FLA members are charged with forgery and fraud, and the trial will be held in June in Helsinki. The prosecutor claims that the repair form of a fictional statue repair company we left at the table at McDonald´s is a forgery. Even more surprisingly he claims we committed a fraud and tried to profit economically by kidnapping Ronald. I am very happy about the chance to make my case in trial. We are planning to invite the best food specialists and art scholars to witness that our action was art and and served a revolutionary purpose.”

HeHe sind das Duo Helen Evans und Heiko Hansen: “HeHe steht zwischen Kunst, Design und Alltagsintervention: Das Künstlerduo HeHe befasst sich mit Phänomenen aus dem täglichen Leben, mit banalen Gebrauchsgegenständen, verstärkt, vergrößert oder reduziert sie. Bei ihren Aktionen improvisieren HeHe mit ständig neuen Objekten – vom Motor bis zum Bügeleisen. Im Kontext der Kunst erfährt jeder Alltagsgegenstand eine symbolische Aufladung. Das Duo macht sogenanntes kritisches Design, das auf einen gesellschaftlichen Kontext abzielt und sich in keine künstlerische Disziplin einordnen lässt. Ähnlich wie die Nouveaux Réalistes, die Dadaisten oder die Situationisten streben auch HeHe danach, die Grenzen zwischen Kunst und Leben zu sprengen. HeHe befasste sich so zum Beispiel mit Themen wie Umweltverschmutzung, dem Green-Washing der Autoindustrie oder neuen Sicherheitstechnologien, in denen sich auch unbewusst unsere Ängste vor Katastrophen aller Art spiegeln.” Via: mcd Magazin

HUO kommt gleich! “Hans Ulrich Obrist will be here in 20 minutes. Don’t miss him!” a banner by Rafael RG (born in Brazil, 1986) which was installed in 2010 in abandoned public spaces of the city of Fortaleza in Brazil. The banner makes reference to one of HUO heroes, curatorial pioneer Walter Hopps who was always famously late and preferred to work outside of normal office hours, from midnight to sunrise. Walter Hopps’s legendary elusiveness prompted the employees at the Corcoran Gallery in Washington, D.C., where he served as director in the 1970s, to make buttons reading “Walter Hopps will be here in 20 minutes.” The banner by Rafael RG in Fortaleza, announces an event that will never happen, and refers to the expectations of the “peripheries” to be discovered and validated by the centre.” Via

“The Scam” – eine neue Performance des italienischen Künstlers Pablo Chiereghin. Während der Ausstellung “Kunst und Kapital” im Künstlerhaus Wien gab der Künstler vor, er könne das Geld der Besucher verdoppeln, schloss Verträge ab, tat jedoch nichts und behielt das Geld dann einfach. “The artist organizes a complex financial operation under the fake supervision of a broker firm. The participants give money under the promise of having the amount doubled or at least to have their money back within 3 month. The artist gives to the investors signed contracts and then uses the money for personal purposes.” Via: Mail

Am Wochenende startete die Aktion “OccupyFDP“: Neue Mitglieder sollen die Partei unterwandern. Mit 65.000 Neubeitritten – soviele Mitglieder hat die FDP aktuell – gelänge sogar die feindliche Übernahme: “Die FDP hat 65.000 Mitglieder und ständig werden es weniger. Das liegt daran, dass die FDP die Partei der ökologisch, sozial und wirtschaftlich verantwortungslosen Lobbypolitik ist. Dies hat jetzt ein Ende. Wir zeigen der FDP, was freie Märkte bedeuten. Wir übernehmen die Mehrheit der FDP und stellen sie auf ein neues Fundament. Oder wir lösen sie auf. Die FDP ist der ideale Übernahmekandidat: Sie hat Vermögen, sie hat Regierungsbeteiligung auf Bundesebene und sie findet kaum mehr Akzeptanz bei den Wählern. Sie ist die Partei der Lobbyisten.
